| Heute ist es nun wirklich soweit! Nachdem ich gestern abend schon nach Düsseldorf zu Roman und Heike gefahren bin kann ichs heute Vormittag gelassen angehen | Today it will become reality. After having slept in Düsseldorf at Roman and Heike´s place there's no need to hurry. |

| Jetlag . . Axel hatte mich vorgewarnt.
Ich wurde sehr früh wach und schaute mir den Sonnenaufgang in der
Wüste an. Nach dem Frühstuck gings dann ans Mopped . . Baustelle! |
Jetlag . . Axel had already warned
me. Woke up very early and watched the sun rise in the desert. After breakfast we went to the bike . . still some work to do! |

| Hurra! Die Kette ist da! Aber das Ritzel ist falsch. Zum Glück ist das von der Schrott-900er noch ok. Einmal kurz durch die Sandstrahlkabine damit und . . PASST! | Hooray! The chain arrived! But the sprocket is wrong. So i take a used one from the old 900 outside. Cleaned it with the beadblaster . . fits! |

| Von Lee Vining geht es zusammen mit den
Jungs vom SCNOC (South California Norton Owners Club) durch den Yosemite
Nitionalpark. Bei Temperaturen um den Gefrierpunkt muss ich mir die Hände mehr als einmal am Zylinder wärmen. Danach über Mariposa, Merced und Modesto durchs Central Valley nach San Francisco. |
At Lee Vining i met the guys from
the SCNOC. Together we traverse Yosemite. Temperatures are around 37 and
i often have to warm my hands on the cylinder block. Then via Mariposa, Merced and Modesto through the Central Valley to San Francisco. |
